The false promise of minimalism…

…is that once you get rid of all of your essentials that you will romp thusly through sterile, stark white spaces:

Don't be fooled: she's frolicking, but she still misses her salt shaker.

But the real story is that about fifteen minutes later you’d do just about anything for a laptop computer and a couch.

A forlorn brunette sits alone in the emptiness of her minimalist house.  Should have kept her salt shaker.
