Pre-party preparations

February 20, 2011

The great thing about minimalism is that it’s easy to make your dwelling look clean.  When there are no stacks of paper and sticky washcloths and Transformers to pick up,  it’s just plain easier to get the vacuum cleaner and the washrag and the broom around on the surfaces.  You have *access*.  Cleaning? It’s like butter.

Most people run around before a party shoving their stuff in closets and cupboards before company arrives.  Not I, the uber-clean minimalist. I run around trying to make the place look pretty–by buying stuff.

The minimalist buys stuff. Angrily.

Hahahaha that’s great! And then you get the joy of throwing those things out as soon as the company leaves…

Hmm, that’s a great idea- and you can buy stuff so that people can take those things home with them, and you’re not any worse off than where you started!

Well, you ARE out of money…but that’s okay. The Cosmos provides.

Hehehe, I used to shove all my stuff into the washing machine before people came around.

That’s BRILLIANT! Why have I never thought of that?

I once preheated a friend’s oven, only to discover that she stored many of her kitchen gadgets in there. It was tragic.
